Our Experiments
Why are many people missing one of the simplest things they can do to go green?
There is one simple switch that people can make which will help protect nature and cut carbon emissions, but it is seldom mentioned. We dig into the subject.
UK missing out on opportunity to copy successful French green business
In France a green business is successfully collecting food waste for composting. Here is why the same model doesn’t work financially in the UK.
Sizzle’s pet project
Did you know that a medium sized dog has a carbon footprint the size of an SUV? Or that climate change could impact your dog’s health? Or that if pet cats and dogs were a country, they’d be the 5th largest consumer of meat in the world?
This may come as a shock, but all is not lost. We’re exploring all the options to ensure that healthy, happy pets can have a reduced environmental impact.
What Next for Enrich the Earth?
Enrich the Earth is a movement of influential organisations committed to replacing peat with sustainable alternatives and demonstrating the circular economy in action. We are focusing activities on the North East of England testing a range of independently evaluated activities that could have national significance. Enrich the Earth was formally launched in September 2023 and achieved positive press coverage backed up by influencer content on social media. The launch has generated wide-spread interest and gives us a great base on which to build. Over the coming months, we have set ourselves five targets.

Hit or Miss? Let us know what you think
Sizzle is about to launch our first campaign and we would welcome your thoughts before it goes live. Creating a new collaborative approach is complex so we are seeking early feedback from those not involved in the development.
The Inconvenient Truth for Fashion
The fashion industry is slowly waking up to the inconvenient truth that it must reduce the sheer volume of stuff that it produces, buys and wastes. This will require a massive change in direction requiring every part of the chain to participate. It is this requirement for radical collaboration that makes this a perfect challenge for Sizzle and will be the focus for our second campaign. It is a daunting challenge but there are five reasons that give us hope that change can be achieved.
